J. David Munson

David Munson joined Boyd Commercial in February of 2009 after spending two and half years as the Senior Leasing Manager for First Industrial Realty Trust. A specialist in Industrial real estate David focuses on Landlord and Tenant representation in several submarkets in and around the Greater Houston Area.

While at First Industrial, David was solely responsible for leasing over five million square feet of industrial space as well as running the leasing department. He sourced and completed over 150 lease transactions with a total value in excess of $45,000,000. This includes the Palmer Logistics lease, in which David represented the Landlord in leasing 598,000 square feet to Palmer Logistics for seven years. That lease is believed to be the largest industrial speculative lease transaction ever signed in Houston. David has represented several other Landlords while working at First Industrial including, Mountain West Real Estate, Cobalt Capital Partners, USAA Real Estate, GID Investment Advisors, and Wilson and Company.

David is a native Houstonian, where he attended Episcopal High School. David graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2003 with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance and a Minor in Economics. While at SMU David was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order. David is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA Program with the University of Texas at Austin and is expected to graduate with an MBA in 2012. In his spare time David enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
